UDHAMPUR, Jan 6: Chenani police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past several years.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Chenani police station conducted raid in Bain area and arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since 2013.
The accused has been identified as Khursheed Ahmed, son of Abdul Karim, a resident of Bain, tehsil Chenani, district Udhampur.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 72/14 under Section 379 RPC registered with police station Chenani. He was also wanted in two cases registered under FIR Numbers 256/13 and 6/15 with police station Udhampur.
Three warrants under Section 512 CrPC and one bailable warrant stands issued by Courts against the accused.
Further investigation into the cases registered against the accused is going on.
Police team led by SHO Chenani police station Inspector Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Chenani Vinod Sharma and SSP Udhampur Suleman Choudhary.
