Absconder held: Police

JAMMU, Nov 21: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested an individual, who had been evading the law enforcement agencies since 2018 for his alleged involvement in a case registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar.
Shashwat Bakshi of Muncipal Flat number 3, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, was wanted for his involvement in case FIR number 174/2018 registered under sections 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act, 4/25 Arms Act and 34 RPC registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar but he had been constantly evading his arrest since 2018, a police official said.
Acting on specific inputs, Bakshi was arrested today by a team of Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SHO concerned, Inspector Arun Prakash, he said, adding that the accused will be presented before the competent court to decide the future course of action.
