JAMMU, Nov 5: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Nagrota area here have arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest since 2017.
Mohammad Zubair of Rajouri was wanted in connection with FIR number 58/2017 registered under section 279 of the RPC at Police Station Nagrota but he was constantly evading his arrest, said a police official.
According to him, an arrest warrant under section 512 CrPC was also issued against the accused individual by the court of Munsiff JMIC Jammu due to his prolonged evasion.
The arrest warrant was executed today by a team of Police Station Nagrota, led by SHO concern, by arresting the accused, who was later produced before the competent court for further legal proceedings, added the police official.
