POONCH, Feb 8: The police nabbed an absconder who had been evading his arrest for the last about eight years from Mendhar area of Poonch district. He was wanted by Poonch police for his involvement in multiple crimes.
A police party from Police Station Gursai today arrested him. He has been identified as Mohd Imtiyaz, son of Mohd Khan, resident of Narkote, Galhutta, in Mendhar. He was absconding in case FIR No. 53/2018 registered under sections 336, 147, 325, 323 RPC of Police Station Gursai. The accused was also wanted in another FIR No. 94/2021 registered under sections 313, 323, 451, 325, 201 IPC of the same police station.
The accused will be produced before the competent court of law for further legal proceedings, police said.
