DODA, May 29: Police here today arrested an absconder who was evading arrest for the last eight years.
The absconder Mukhtyar Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani, resident of Katal Rahien, Udhampur was involved in a case of FIR No. 80/2014 Under Section 279/337 RPC registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and Challan of the case was produced in the court of law. During trial, the accused absconded and the court issued warrant of arrest against him on 14-04-2017.
On the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta, a police team was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah and it was led by SHO Police Station Bhaderwah for the arrest of the absconder.
The team put hectic efforts and arrested the absconder and produced him before the court of law.
