JAMMU, Feb 4: Police in Jammu’s Bishnah area claimed they have arrested an absconder wanted in Arms Act case after 7 years.
A police official said that Vikram Singh of Chak Chua, Kothi Morh, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu, was wanted in case FIR number 197/2017 under sections 341/323 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act registered at Police Station Bishnah.
Due to the prolonged evasion of the accused, the court of JMIC Bishnah had issued a warrant under section 299 of the CrPC against him, he said.
Executing the warrant, he said, a team of police officers from Police Station Bishnah arrested the accused today.
Following the arrest, the accused will be produced before the court of JMIC Bishnah, where further legal proceedings will take place as per due process.
