DODA, Dec 23: Police here today arrested an absconder who was evading arrest since last 4 years.
Giving details in this regard, Police sources informed that the accused Satish Kumar, son of Hoshiyar Singh, resident of Dharan, Sarsi, Doda was involved in a case registered in FIR with no. 31/2020 U/Sec 452/376/511 IPC at Women Police Station Doda.
After completion of investigation, Challan was produced in the court of law. The accused was declared as absconder and warrant of arrest U/S 299 CrPC was issued against him by the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Doda.
On the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Kumar Mehta, a team was constituted from Women Police Station Doda under the leadership of Inspector Farooq Katoch, SHO Women Police Station Doda and the team after making hectic efforts arrested the absconder from Kathua and produced him before the Court of law.
