JAMMU, Oct 18: Jammu and Kashmir Police in RS Pura area today claimed they have arrested an individual who was evading an arrest in an abetment of suicide case registered 4 years back.
Yash Pal of Ward number 7, RS Pura, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu, was wanted in case FIR number 71/2021 registered under section 306 of the IPC at Police Station RS Pura, a police official said.
But he was constantly evading his arrest in the case, he said.
The police official further said that the Additional Session Court, Jammu, had also issued a warrant under section 299 of the CrPC against the accused.
The warrant was executed today by a team of Police Station RS Pura led by Head Constable Major Singh and other police officials with overall guidance of SHO RS Parihar, he said.
Following his arrest, the police official added that the accused was produced before the Additional Session Court, Jammu.
