RAMBAN, Nov 21: Police Station Banihal here today arrested an accused absconding for over three decades in a 1992 TADA and RPC case.
The arrested individual has been identified as Mohd Farooq, son of Abdul Gaffar, resident of Chareel, Banihal and he was involved in a case of FIR No. 108/1992 Under Sections 3/4 TADA Act and Sections 395, 365, 436 RPC.
He was evading arrest for years and was wanted in connection with a long-pending Arrest Warrant under Section 512 CrPC, issued by the 3rd Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu vide Order No. 609–13/3rd ADSJ dated 10/04/2024.
Cops from Police Station Banihal traced and apprehended him today.
