JAMMU, Nov 25: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Gajansoo area have arrested an individual who had been evading his arrest in a case registered 15 years back.
Zahoor Ahmed of Utterpora, Tehsil Beerwah, District Budgam, was wanted in case FIR number 06/2010 registered under sections 457 and 380 of the RPC at Police Station Kanachak but he had been on the run since the registration of the FIR, a police official said.
Acting on reliable information, he was arrested today by a team of Police Post Gajansoo falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanachak and produced before the court, where he was granted bail, the police official said.
