JAMMU, Apr 1: An individual, who was evading his arrest for the past 14 years, was arrested in Bishnah area here today.
Ramesh Kumar of Chak Bala, Tehsil RS Pura, was wanted in case FIR number 27/2011 under sections 452/323 of the RPC registered at Police Station Bishnah, a police official said, adding, “But the accused was evading his arrest since the registration of the FIR.”
According to him, an arrest warrant under section 512 of the CrPC was also issued against the accused by the JMIC Bishnah.
The warrant got executed today with the arrest of the accused, who was later produced before the court of law after completion of the legal formalities, he said.
