KISHTWAR, Nov 3: Police here today apprehended an absconder who was on the run for the last 10 years.
Giving details in this regard, SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal said that Kishtwar Police received information about the absconder and carried out a meticulously planned operation to track him down.
The operation was led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO Police Station Kishtwar under the supervision of Dy.SP (Hqrs) Dr. Ishan Gupta.
After relentless efforts, the absconder, identified as Jaffer Hussain Sheikh, son of Mohd Ramzan Sheikh, resident of Sangrambata, Kishtwar was held.
He was wanted in case of FIR No. 146/2013 U/Section 436/353/336/435/332/427/147/148/149/RPC registered at Police Station Kishtwar.
SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal has warned all the absconders to surrender else strict action as per law shall be taken against them which may even include action under 82/83/Cr.PC.
