JAMMU, Apr 17: Police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the last over seven years.
Police spokesman said that, an absconder identified as Shamsher Lal, son of Inder Dass of Bishnah, was involved in bovine smuggling, the case of which was registered at Lakhanpur police station in the year 2006.
On inputs, police party from Bishnah police station led by SHO Deepak pathania conducted a raid and arrested the absconder, spokesman said.
The absconder was later handed over to Lakhanpur police for further investigation, he added.
