JAMMU, Nov 13: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) in Bishnah area today claimed to have arrested an individual who was evading his arrest in a criminal case for the past over one year.
A police official said Maskin Ali of Mehmoodpur, Bishnah, Jammu, was wanted in case FIR number 04/2014 registered under sections 395, 201 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act at Police Station Bishnah.
But he was evading his arrest for the last over one year, he said.
According to the police official, a non-bailable warrant under section 512 CrPC was also issued against the absconder by the Ist Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu.
The warrant was executed today by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned, Inspector Rakesh Singh Jamwal, with the arrest of the accused, who was later produced before the court of law for further action.
