JAMMU, Sept 11: Police in Jammu’s Sainik Colony area today claimed that they have arrested an absconder who was wanted in several serious natures of criminal cases.
Arshid Ali alias Shadu of Teli Basti, Bari Brahamana, Samba, was arrested in connection with FIR number 51/2016 registered under sections 307, 341, 323, 511, and 34 RPC, a police official said.
But six years after the arrest, he absconded to avoid the due course of law, he said.
He was arrested today by a team of Police Post Sainik Colony led by incharge police post concerned with SHO Channi Himmat supervising the officer, added the police official.
According to him, the accused would be produced before the court of law soon.
