JAMMU, Aug 6: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Satwari area today claimed to have arrested an individual who was evading his arrest for the past five years.
Mohammad Hanief of Babliana, near MBS College, was wanted in connection with FIR Number 110/2013 under Sections 341, 323, 34 RPC registered at Police Station Satwari, a police official said.
But he had been absconding since 2020 to avoid the due process of law, he said, adding that acting on specific information, the absconder was arrested today by a team led by SHO Satwari.
He will be produced before the court to decide the future course of action, added the police official.
