JAMMU, Nov 16: City Police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since 1982.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station City led by SHO Inspector Deepak Katoch under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Mohita Sharma conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large since 1982.
The accused was identified as Bihari Lal, son of Hari Saran, a resident of Dist Doda.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 694/1977 under Sections 419 and 420 RPC with Police Station City. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the Sub Judge Court Jammu.
The proceedings against the said absconder has been started with the assistance of Riaz Ahmed Bhatti APP Sub Judge Court Jammu.
