JAMMU, Aug 28: Police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the last seven years.
Police spokesman said that, an absconder namely Hardeep Singh, son of Madan Singh of Nanak Nagar, Jammu, was apprehended from Nanak Nagar, Jammu.
He was involved in case under FIR number 96/ 2004 under Sections 279/304-A and 140/ 192, 156/ 192, 66/ 192 MV Act registered at Police Station Ramban and was evading his arrest for the last 7 years.
The absconder was produced before Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ramban, who ordered for judicial custody of the said absconder upto September 12.
