JAMMU, Jan 19: Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) today urged the UT Govt to release 3% instalment of Dearness Allowance in favour of Govt employees, which was due in July 2024.
In a press statement issued here today, the UT President of ABRSM, Rattan Chand Sharma said that the reason for delay in announcement for Govt’s decision is only a deceptive tactic. It is an irony that Union Government has already released the same DA instalment long ago but inspite of hike price index, the UT employees have been kept deprived of the hike.
Sharma alleged that administration always adopts dilly delaying tactics whenever hike in DA is due. When it is clear that DA hike is due in every January and July, as per the price index, then there is no point in delaying the release.
The UT administration should simultaneously announce the hike in DA with Centre Government.
He said that even one more instalment has become due in January but employees have not received the last one.
The organisation has expressed hope that Govt shall announce the hike in DA after the cabinet meeting.
