‘Abolish NPS to safeguard financial security of employees’

JAMMU, Jan 16: J&K chapter of National Movement for Old Pension Scheme (NMOPS) here today organised a meeting under the leadership of its State president, Sheikh Mohd Ashraf to address the issue of pension reforms.
During meeting, the speakers demanded reinstatement of Old Pension Scheme (OPS) highlighting its inclusion in the election manifesto of Omar Abdullah.
Ashraf stressed that the Government must honour its commitment by abolishing New Pension System (NPS) and restoring OPS to safeguard the rights and financial security of employees.
He said that failure of the government to meet the demand would compel NMOPS-J&K to stage peaceful protests on coming days.
The meeting witnessed participation of several prominent NMOPS leaders including Mir Bashir Ahmed, Neetan Kalyan, Tarun Gupta, Raman Kumar Sharma, Jalil Sheikh, Amar Mooman, Rail Singh, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Sushil Sharma, Sofi Tahir, Zahoor Ahmed Malik, Sushil Kumar Sharma, Imran Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed Dar, Shahbaz Akbar Khan, Sanjay Sharma, Ashraf Hussain, Sanjeet Sharma, Atta ul Rehman, Ajay Sharma, Parshotam Singh, Vikee Pandita, Sandeep Kumar, Pardeep Kumar, Sanjay Sharma others .
