JAMMU, Feb 22: Akhil Bhartiya Grahak Panchayat (ABGP), Jammu Prant, organized a Mahila Baithak at Kargil Sabhagar, Ved Mandir Office, Jammu. The objective of the meeting was to enhance consumer awareness among women and encourage their active participation in strengthening the organization and safeguarding consumer rights.
The program commenced with an introductory address by Vandana Trehan, Prant Mahila Pramukh, who highlighted the crucial role of women in consumer-related matters. She encouraged women to become aware and responsible consumers and to spread awareness within their families and communities. She also urged them to join ABGP and contribute actively to this noble cause.
Rajeev Bhardwaj, Prant Sangathan Mantri, spoke about the importance of organizational strength and emphasized that collective efforts are essential for protecting consumer rights. He particularly motivated women to come forward, join the organization, and play an active role in its activities.
Thakur Das Sharma, Prant Adhyaksh, addressed the gathering on the issue of corrupt practices in the education and healthcare sectors, highlighting how these adversely affect consumers. He urged the participants to remain vigilant and raise their voice against such malpractices.
In this baithak Shifali Gupta, noted educationist was appointed as Sangathan Mantri ABGP Jammu Vibhag.
