JAMMU, Dec 8: Students activists of Aam Aadmi Party today protested and blocked road in front of MAM College as the college authorities did not allow them to enter the premises for announcing new office bearers.
The protesting AAP activists raised slogans against the college authorities and held a demonstration leading to disruption of vehicular movement on the road.
They were demanding entry into the college premises for holding a meeting and announcing President as well as Vice-President of the MAM College Unit. They alleged that the college authorities were not allowing them to enter the premises for hiding their failures.
“We have assembled here to hold a meeting of AAP affiliated students and announce President as well as Vice-President of the MAM College unit so that students can highlight their grievances and issues, like lack of washrooms and inadequate facilities,” said the AAP leaders.
As the college authorities did not allow the protesting AAP activists to enter the premises, the trouble continued for around an hour. Later the protesting students and AAP activists dispersed peacefully.
