JAMMU, Apr 16: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Civil Airport Jammu, handed over two fully-equipped ambulances to SMGS Hospital, Government Medical College Jammu on 16th April 2025.
The ambulances include one Critical Care Ambulance (CCA) equipped with advanced life-saving equipment to handle emergency and high-dependency cases and one Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance, designed to provide essential pre-hospital care and patient transport.
This initiative is aimed at strengthening the emergency medical response and enhancing healthcare infrastructure in Jammu & Kashmir. The formal handing over ceremony was held in the presence of Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Kumar Garg, Airport Director Jammu and Dr Dara Singh, Medical Superintendent of SMGS Hospital, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Kumar Garg highlighted AAI’s continued commitment to public welfare and community support through its CSR programs. He said AAI is committed to contributing meaningfully to the society it serves, particularly in critical areas like healthcare, education, and sustainability.
The hospital administration expressed that this valuable contribution of AAI will go a long way in improving patient care and emergency response services in the region.
