SAMBA, Apr 15: The protesting staff of Government Higher Secondary School Gho Brahmana in Ramgarh area of Samba district today suspended their strike giving three days time to Government in taking action against the Sarpanch of the village who last week forcibly entered the school premises along with his supporters and staged a dharna there protesting against the allotment of works for construction of compound wall by the authorities without taking him into confidence.
Taking a serious view of the Sarpanch’s highhandedness the staff of the school also resorted to strike and warned to continue the same till action is taken against the Sarpanch. However,  they suspended the strike for three days today after MLA Vijaypur Surjit Singh Slathia along with ADC Samba and other officers visited the school and pursued the staff to resume their duties.
The staff members while accepting their plea however, suspended the strike for three days as the authorities assured them that by that time the issue will be settled.
