Vijaypur, Ramgarh people’s concern over power crisis

SAMBA, July 13: The people in Vijaypur and Ramgarh tehsils of Samba district have expressed their grave concern over power crisis being faced by them and have accused the PDD of its failure in supplying the 24 hour power in the area.
They said that power crisis have affected the life worst as the old and infirm people besides the infant children have to bear the brunt of it in this scorching heat of Summer season. They said despite bringing the issue in the notice of the Department they failed to look into the problem and solve it to the best interests of the people. The inhabitants of the two tehsils said that power crisis have affected the water supply as well as the irrigation to the agriculture fields in this time of Summer when the plantation of paddy is on the peak.
In an appeal to Chief Engineer M&RE they sought his immediate attention towards the matter saying that the people in the twin tehsils of this border belt even don’t get the power supply for three to four hours a day. They said on the one hand Government has started privatization of power and still the authorities have failed to ensure round the clock power supply in the area.
