SAMBA, July 12: The transformer installed in the border village Abtal has been damaged, which has forced the residents to live in darkness from the past four days.
As per reports, the transformer installed in village Abtal got damaged around four days back, but the concerned department has failed to repair it.
Despite repeated request, the officials of the PDD have failed to restore the power supply in our village, the residents alleged.
Today, a deputation of the villagers led by Ravinder Singh met Xen PDD Narotam Kumar and apprised him about the problems being faced by the them due to non-availability of electricity in their village from the past four days.
Xen PDD Narotam Kumar listened to the issues raised by the deputation and assured them that a new transformer will be installed in their village as soon as possible.
