JAMMU, June 17: The Gandhi Nagar hospital has successfully performed caesarean on COVID positive pregnant woman, who was referred from Ramban district after she was tested positive for the virus and also had complicacies in delivery.
The woman reported at Gandhi Nagar Hospital at 2 am and was operated within three hours for fetal distress.
Both mother and baby are fine, doctors said.
The complicated caesarean and COVID positive woman was conducted by Dr Asha Manhas, Consultant Gynecologist, Dr Surinder Kour, Consultant Anesthetist and other staff members including Shivani Sood, Renu Bala and Sudesh Kumari.
