JAMMU, June 12: Pakistan army yet again violated the ceasefire by resorting to heavy shelling along the Line of Control in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
A Defence spokesman said here that at about 1950 hrs, Pakistan initiated ceasefire violation along the LoC in Balakote sector of Poonch and in Manjakote sector of district Rajouri by firing with small arms and intense shelling with mortars.
He added that Indian Army retaliated befittingly to the cross-border firing.
Earlier at around 1915 hrs, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors of Poonch.
