MTWA expresses concern over shortage of lecturers

JAMMU, Apr 10: Migrant Teachers Welfare Association (MTWA) has expressed concern over the shortage of the lecturers in the camp schools and appealed the Relief Commission to take up the issue of adjustment of lecturer and other requisite staff in these institutions at the earliest with the concerned authorities.
A delegation of the association led by its president Ramesh Raina called on the Relief Commission and told him that these institutions are already deficient in lecturers and most of the Masters placed as incharge lecturers or head masters and even teachers promoted as masters teach in higher secondary level in these institutions.
The association also raised the issue of relocating camp Higher Secondary School Mishriwala to migrant dominated locality of Bohri, Jammu.
Relief Commissioner gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation of taking up the issue of adjustment of lecturers and other requisite staff in the camp schools with the concerned authorities and reiterated commitment of providing rent for Bohri school once the NOC has been issued by the Education Department.
