Sir,
There is no doubt that LPG home delivery has improved in twin cities of Jammu and Srinagar after the Government paid serious attention to the problem.
Now, it is turn of villages and towns where consumers face great inconvenience due to poor LPG delivery.
The Consumer Affairs department should insist the Government on opening more LPG outlets in towns to enable people get it easily.
The villagers are the worst sufferers as they have to go to the nearest towns to fetch a cylinder. The exercise is quite difficult as it involves time and money. People have to board a bus to the town. If fortunately the outlet is open, they can get the filled cylinder. Otherwise they have to get it next day. It also happens that at times even consumers lose the cylinders during the to and fro process.
In view of this difficulty, it is urged to the authorities to improve gas services in villages and towns of the State.
Yours etc….
