JAMMU, May 18: Excise Department has inspected Monica Wine Shop and has ordered its deletion from the category of stand alone list.
As per official sources, a team from Excise Department led by Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan inspected Monica Wine Shop after there were reports of tampering with CCTV footage and illegal sale.
On finding irregularity of CCTV non working and presence of market place, the Commissioner issued instruction for deletion of the shop from the category of stand alone list.
Commissioner has also ordered further enquiry, sources added.
Pertinently Government has asked to have multi departmental teams comprising of Excise, State Taxes and Revenue officials for verifications.
The inspection of the wine shop was the part of the drive launched by Excise Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan.
