JAMMU, Apr 24: Jammu and Kashmir Chapter of Indian Veterinary Association was framed today in the Union Territory and nominated its office bearers for the smooth functioning of the Association.
Dr Kaiser Ahmad Makhdoomi has been nominated as president, Dr Idrees Malik appointed as vice president while Dr Gowhar Nabi Gora has been nominated as general secretary.
Dr Pritam Manhas, Dr Mohammad Ishaq Bhat, Navneet Badyal were appointed as joint secretaries whereas Asif Iqbal as treasures.
The purpose of formation of IVA-JK is to address issues related to overall development of the veterinary profession including career development, employment, promotion of scientific exchange as well as dignity of the professionals under the umbrella of the Indian Veterinary Association.
