RAJOURI, Apr 19: Two persons were killed when a Kucha house collapsed under Dharamsal police jurisdiction in Sunderbani sub division of Rajouri district last night.
Police sources said that mishap took place at around 2.15 am when both the persons were sleeping in one of the rooms at village Channi Shava near Sunderbani. Half of the portion of this old house was under repair. Click here to watch video
Suddenly, the adjoining room of Veranda collapsed and both the young men were buried alive under the debris. The family members from other rooms ran for safety. They called the neighbours for help. The village Sarpanch Mohd Hussain also reached there after some time.
The police was also informed about the matter. The locals and police then removed the bodies from the debris. The deceased were identified as 30-year-old, Mohd Parvez, son of Mohd Hussain from Channi Shava and 28-year-old Manzoor Hussain, son of Alam Din, resident of Barwadi village in Dharamsal. The police party removed the bodies for postmortem to Sunderbanihospital and then handed over to the respective families for last rites. A case has been registered in this connection.
