JAMMU, Mar 4: National Awami United Party (NAUP) has expressed concern over the poor standard of education in government schools in J&K.
In a joining function NAUP president, Sandeep Singh claimed that more than required number of teachers are posted in government schools located in Jammu city and in its periphery while the rural areas has a very low student-teacher ratio.
On this occasion Shikha Thakur was appointed as City president of Mahila Morcha of NAUP while Jagdish Raj Chopra, Someshwar Sharma and Ashok Sharma joined the party.
NAUP president urged the J&K Lieutenant Governor to strengthen the Anti-Corruption Bureau to bring all the corruption related cases to a logical end.
He further said that government did a right thing in cancelling 1200 posts in J&K Bank and added that involvement of politicians remained there in the affairs of J&K Bank since decades.
