JAMMU, Mar 1: After the Central Government took the major decision of scrapping provisions of Article 370 and reorganizing Jammu and Kashmir as Union Territory on August 5 last year, the first full-length Dogri language feature film titled “Mouj-Masti” will be released soon in Jammu and other parts of Dogra region of newly formed UT.
The film written by Rajeshwar Singh Raju is a comedy talking about drug abuse in the youth and is Directed by Heeramani Singh who has a long profile in film making and production. He has done Deepti Naval starrer film called 19th January as the chief assistant director and has been associated with the Mumbai based production house Amar Chand Motion Pictures for which he directed more than 150 documentaries on religious tourism which has been rendered to one of the big platforms of India called Shemaroo. “Mouj Masti” is the film in which he is trying to bring the changing city lives of Jammu in a very humorous manner.
The director of photography is Sanjay Kumar while the melodious music is being rendered by Surinder Manhas. Edited by Mohit Garg and Production Manager is Pawan Kumar, the film is starring Parvej Mir, Rakesh Chalotra, Davinder Nanda, Shekhar, Shazi Khan, Sapna Soni, Raj Kumar Bhat, Sars Bharti, Garu Ram, Soujanya Shekhar, Drishati Rajput, Puneet Gupta. The choreographer is Akash Dogra, while the set is designed by Rakesh Dogra, make up was done by Pintu and lyrics is given by Pyasa Anjum and Shivani Tak.
The film is being produced by Aslam Mir, Rakesh Chalotra and Vinod Jaral under the banner of PR Films in association with Pryag Films. Social media partner is Jammu Diary. The complete shooting has been done in the beautiful landscapes of Jammu region thereby promoting tourism with the motive of tapping the local talent and promoting the local language and region.
The film has local actors having background of theatre, television, and cinema.
