JAMMU, Feb 27: Baldev Singh Billawaria, chairman of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) kick started the work of lane, drains along with Councilor, Neena Gupta of Ward Number 50.
The work was started near Gauri Shankar temple of Channi Kamala. Balwan Singh, Satish Kumar, Swarn Singh, Vicky Charak, Anand Ram and Vaishali Gupta were also present on this occasion. Billawaria on the occasion said that development work is going on fast in Gandhi Nagar and it will soon emerge as Gandhi Nagar Modern Assembly. Billawaria said that although the JMC is currently lacking infrastructure, efforts are being made to provide better development in the Jammu city for which corporators and the Corporation is working hard.
He said more infrastructure should be provided for the betterment of people of the Jammu city. Despite the limited income of the Corporation, continuous development works are being done in every area for the past one year and today people have realized, how important its role is for the betterment of the Jammu city, he added. He appealed general public to come forward to keep their city clean, green and said that it is not even a matter of the Corporation to clean the city until the desire of the people of the city is made clean. In such a situation, people will have to cooperate with the corporation.
Local councilor of Ward 50, Neena Gupta said that the development works have been started continuously in her Ward one by one. In future many more development works will be started for the betterment of the people. People should cooperate in maintaining cleanliness by taking care of the cleanliness of their surroundings, she added.
