6 injured in road accidents

Truck turns turtle, damages 2 vehicles

SAMBA, Feb 23:Six people were injured in two road accidents at Diani area and Manau of Samba here, today while a truck turned turtle at Main Chowk Samba and damaged two parked vehicles on the road side.
According to the reports, four people were seriously injured when the i20, new car without registration number crashed into the divider of the road resulting in injury to four car inmates. They were immediately brought to Samba district hospital from where they were referred to GMC Jammu in a critical condition.
The injured were identified as Veer Bahadur Singh, son of Kamal Singh resident of Barnoti Kathua,Bbunti Sharma, son of Pardeep Kumar, Diwaker Singh, son of Multan Singh resident of Barnoti, Varun Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh, resident of Buddhi Kathua.
In this regard police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
In another accident two motorcyclists were injured after their bike skidded off the road at Manau area of Samba today.
The injured were identified as Pardeep , son of Chatru Ram, Vicky Kumar, son of Satpal both residents of Paltha area of Samba. They were shifted to District Hospital Samba for treatment where from doctors referred them to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment.
The Samba police has taken cognizance of the matter and registered a case under relevant sections of the law in this regard.
A speedy truck today overturned in middle on the road in Main Chowk Samba and rammed into two stranded vehicles damaging them completely.
According to the report, the accident took place this morning at around 7 am, when a speedy truck bearing Registration No PB10FB- 0217, moving towards Jammu from Kathua, after reaching near Main Chowk Samba suddenly turned turtle in middle of the road as the driver lost the control on steering.
The truck also hit a motorcycle bearing Registration No JK21B- 1815 and one car which were parked on the road side. Both vehicles were totally damaged, but no one was injured. After receiving of the information SHO Police Station, Samba, Shivdev Singh along with police team immediately reached on the spot and started vehicular movement on this road.
In this regard police has taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigations.
