JAMMU, Feb 23: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was held at Exhibition Ground, here today under the leadership of Provincial President Rajesh Jamwal for discussing issues and demands of the Teachers.
While speaking on the occasion, Jamwal demanded the conversion of left out RRETs to Teachers Grade II and Teachers Grade III, including newly regularised ReTs and those having acquired qualifications from outside recognized universities as they are without salary for last one year and suffering badly. He also demanded the regularisation of ReTs who have completed 5 years ReT period so that the process of their conversion to Teachers Grade II and Teachers Grade III be initiated and already suffering teachers may get their salaries.
He further demanded detachment of Masters/Teachers and other officers who are attached in CEO office Jammu for the last more than 10 years. He alleged that these attached Masters/ Teachers often harass other teachers by delaying their routine work and are involved in corrupt practices. He appealed the Secretary School Education and Director School Education Jammu to personally intervene in this regard and initiate a through probe against all such attachments besides ordering immediate detachment.
