JAMMU, Feb 7: Sukhdev Chand, a teacher of Social Studies at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Batote brought laurel to NCC Directorate of UT J&K by securing Gold medal in Junior division in the All India Pre-Commission (PRCN) Training of Associate NCC Officers, concluded on February1, at Officers’ Training Academy, Kamptee, Nagpur.
Sukhdev Singh got Gold medal from the Major General, IJS Hundal, Commandant, NCC, OTA after the passing out parade on February 1 at Chunni Lal Parade Ground, Kamptee of Nagpur (Maharashtra) while the Silver and Bronze medals were received by Utterakhand and Assam respectively.
All the trainees belongs to the 18 NCC Directorates of India had undergone a three month long rigorous training including Physical Training, Yoga, Drill, Leadership and Personality Development besides host of other military and social awareness subjects like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,Digital India, Disaster Management etc to prepare them to conduct NCC training efficiently in their respective NCC units.
