SRINAGAR, Mar 24: J&K State Pensioners Welfare Society and J&K Government Employees Federation in a joint meeting at Ganderbal paid rich tributes to Sardar Bhagat Singh who laid down his life for the freedom and for changing the fate of the poor and downtrodden people of the country.
The speakers while recalling Bhagat Singh said that he adopted a progressive line and sacrificed his life for the welfare of oppressed, suppressed people and working class to make India a class less society on the basis of equality.
They said however the cause for which this great son of the country made a supreme sacrifice was not realized in real sense.
They said the pro capitalist policies pursued by the successive governments after freedom has added to the woes of common man who is reeling under its burden since then.
