MENDHAR, Jan 7: The construction work of the ISM dispensaries at Pathanateer and Salwa villages of Mendhar, which started in the year 2010 and 2014, respectively, is still incomplete.
Official sources said that in 2010 the construction work of ISM Dispensary Pathanateer started but later on the work was stopped for the reasons best know to the men at the helm of affairs. The general public is suffering in the absence of a health unit in the area.
Sources further said that during 2014, AYUSH released an amount of Rs 62. 38 lakh as project cost of ISM building at Salwah. The executing agency was Public Works Department but surprisingly this building too never reached to its completion, they added.
Locals said that Government though released lakhs of rupees for the construction of buildings but all it went down the drain as construction of buildings to benefit locals could not see light of the day.
Superintending Engineer PWD Rajouri – Poonch Prakash Bhagat when contacted said he was not aware of the matter but claimed thart he will look personally into the matter as why these buildings were not completed after a lapse of so many years.
