KATHUA, Jan 7: A driver died after caught by a live wire while unloading cement from his truck at Govindsar Railway Station near here, today.
He has been identified as Vijay Kumar, 38, son of Chaju Ram of village Prangli Hiranagar in district Kathua. As per reports the driver was unloading the cement from his truck at Govindsar Railway Station and he came in contact with live electric wire at Railway Station on which the trains are being run and fell down in an unconscious state.
He was immediately shifted to District Hospital Kathua for treatment where doctors declared him as brought dead. The Govindsar Railway Police Station has registered a case under Section 174 and started investigation. The dead body is in the mortuary room of DH Kathua and it will be handed over to family members after postmortem tomorrow, police said.
