UDHAMPUR, Dec 11: Continuing offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs & psychotropic substances, Udhampur police today recovered 5 grams of Heroin from a drug peddler, who was arrested from Sallian Talab area, Udhampur.
Giving details, SSP Rajiv Pandey said that based on reliable information, police party led by SHO Udhampur, Insp Vijay Singh Choudhary, laid a naka near Sallian Talab Chowk, and intercepted the accused. During the personal search, 15 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from the accused, identified as Mohd. Ramzan son of Mohi ud Din of Sallian Talab, Udhampur.
The accused was arrested on the spot and recovered heroin like substance was seized. In this connection, a case FIR number 583/2019, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case is taken up.
