OBCs given due recognition by Modi Government: Arya

JAMMU, Dec 4: Other Backward Classes (OBCs) have been given due recognition by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led BJP Government at the Centre. This was stated by national OBCs leaders led by national vice-president BJP OBCs Morcha & Prabhari J&K, Prem Krishan Arya, while addressing a meeting of the Morcha here today.
The meeting was attended by national office secretary, BJP OBC Morcha, Sanjay Chouhan, national Incharge and national IT & social media incharge, BJP OBC Morcha, Veera Madhviraj Achari Ceepelli.
Later talking to reporters Prem Krishan Arya, said that the OBC community was denied due justice for last many decades and it is only due to sincere efforts of PM Modi led Government that the community is given due benefits.

He said that under the Justice G. Rohini a Commission was formed to ensure the development of the community on the lines of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas”. Decision to conduct the caste based census in 2021, to increase the limit of creamy layer from 6 lakhs to 8 lakhs, benefit of reservation extended to PSU, banks, insurance etc. interview remittance in case of 4th class employee, extension of benefit to OBCs in cut off for jobs, initiation of “Venture Capital Scheme” giving benefits of loans to the tunes of Rs. 50 lakhs to Rs. 1.5 crores, vacant posts under CD in Central and State Governments to be filled up to 13-09-2019, 10% reservation for economically weaker sections to be provided in addition to 27% reservation already being given to OBCs, hence halting the wrong practice of decreasing the quota on every event and directions to initiate the reservation benefits for OBCs in Sainik, Navodya and Central Schools.
Directions were given for Government recommended 200 point roaster scheme in place of 11 point roaster. He said that these points are only few of benefits being extended to the OBCs community and again reiterated that Modi Government’s commitment for the welfare of community.
National leaders also prompted J&K OBCs leaders to discuss their issues to highlight them at Central level. Local Morcha leaders demanded 27% reservation on the line of reservation being given to other UTs of the nation. They asked for political reservation to OBCs, extension of jurisdiction of National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) to J&K and Ladakh UTs, Scholarships to OBCs students on the pattern of SC & ST students and several other demands.
BJP’s J&K OBCs Morcha president, Rashpaul Verma, Morcha State general secretaries Kewal Krishan Fottra, Brahm Jyot Satti, Capt. (retd) Ramesh Chander & S. Sukhjit Singh and other senior Morcha leaders also attended the meeting.
