IGP reviews functioning of PCR

SRINAGAR, Mar 17: Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Abdul Ghani Mir who took over as IGP Kashmir chaired a meeting of top police officers today to review the functioning of the police force in Kashmir valley.
The IGP exhorted upon the officers that the Control Room has to remain alive to any situation round the clock. He directed officers heading different sections of the Control Room to bring innovation and quickness in the work so that we could serve the department and people much better. The officers gave resume of the working of their respective sections. The IGP underlined a number of measures for strengthening the system at the Control Room.
The meeting was attended, among others by Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Kashmir Range, SSP PCR Sheikh Mahmood, SSP Srinagar, S A H Bukhari and DySPs of Control Room, Kashmir. Earlier, the IGP inspected different sections of the Zonal Police Headquarters, after resuming the charge.
