RAJOURI, Sept 25: The power supply to Rajouri, Kalakote and many parts of entire district remained suspended for about ten hours today.
Reports said that the electricity supply to Kalakote and Rajouri town besides several other areas in the district, was snapped at around 10 am on Wednesday. The power supply remained hit throughout the day. The people badly suffered due to failure of power supply.
Despite repeated calls to the PDD Rajouri office by the citizens, the staff was not able to give proper reply about the reason. They just told that there was snag in the power lines. The power could be restored only around 8 pm late this evening.
Executive Engineer, PDD Rajouri, Munshi Khan claimed that there was some fault in 132 KV Jammu-Kalakote-Rajouri transmission line. It could be detected in the evening after long efforts by the staff. He claimed that after the fault was repaired, the supply was restored in the evening in entire district.
