Main accused along with associate arrested, one absconding

JAMMU, Sept 6: Main accused along with associates wanted in a group clash case have been arrested.
As per police sources, on August 31 this year, Neeraj Sharma, son of Surinder Singh of Bakshi Nagar District Jammu and Harvinder Singh alias Rambo, son of Ujjager Singh of District Udhampur, at present Gurha Bakshi Nagar entered into verbal dual over some property dispute.
The situation turned ugly and Harvinder Singh along with his associates attacked Neeraj Sharma and his associate with sharp edged weapons.
In the clash, Neeraj Sharma and associate of Harvinder Singh identified as Kapil Sharma, son of Kamal Sharma received grievous injuries and were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, from where they were later referred to hospitals outside the State for specialized treatment.
Harvinder Singh along with his associates managed to escape from the spot before the police team arrived.
A case under FIR Number 159/19 under sections 307, 341 and 147 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigations started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Bakshi Nagar Police Station apprehended Harvinder Singh (main accused) along with his associate, who has been identified as Harpal Singh alias Rinku, son of Joginder Singh of Garhi, District Udhampur.
However, hunt is going on to arrest one more accused involved in this group clash case.
