Different organisations celebrate abrogation of Art 370, 35-A

JAMMU, Aug 6: Different organisations here today celebrated the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A and reorganisation of J&K as Union Territory.
Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha under the leadership of its president, Ved Prakash Sharma celebrated the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A and welcomed the development. Sabha members distributed sweets to express their happiness. Prominent among those present on the occasion were Gurdas Sharma, Sat Pal Sharma, V.M Magotra and others.
People of Marh under the leadership of Chowdhary Sukhnandan, former MLA celebrated the Abrogation of Article 370 and termed the development as birth of united India. Speaking on the occasion Sukhnandan said that the abrogation of Article 370 has fulfilled the dream of Jana Sangh founder, Dr Shama Prasad Mukerjee.
Welcoming the ‘historical decision’ of Modi government for abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A, Thathri Development Front members have said that real beneficiaries of Article 370 were a few political families, politicians and bureaucrats.
They said that need of the hour is peace, national security, integration and development of the State.
Duggar Pradesh Party president, Udhay Chand has hailed the abrogation of Article 370. In a handout Chand stated that his party’s demand was that Jammu should be made a separate state. He also said that he will support statehood demand for Jammu.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has welcomed the bold and historical decision of Modi government to abrogate Article 370 from J&K. In a handout KPC leadership stated that it was a long pending demand of nationalist forces including Kashmiri Pandits and congratulated PM Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah for the same.
Sarpanch, Muthi Maira of Jourian, Priya Sharma and Sarpanch, Samwan of Khour, Anu Radha have hailed the decision of scrapping Articles 370 and 35 A. In a handout these Sarpanches stated that this will bring peace and prosperity to future generations and will free the State from the clutches of family rule.
All State Kashmir Pandit Conference (ASKPC) celebrated the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A and termed it as bold and revolutionary decision of Modi government. In a handout ASKPC president, Advocate Ravinder Raina and general secretary, Dr T.K Bhat said, now the Kashmiri Pandits should also be given their due place in valley which is their motherland.
Prajapati Kumhar Sabha has hailed the abrogation of Article 370. In a handout Sabha president Ayodhya Kumar said that this will be a big blow to separatists and other such elements.
Ex-servicemen Welfare Association Kathua led by its president, Manohar Lal and Chairman, Gian Singh Pathania celebrated the scraping of Article 370 and 35-A and Union Territory status to J&K. In a handout Association office bearers said after one nation one flag the accession of J&K with India is now complete.
Hailing PM Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah’s bold initiative of scrapping Article 370 and reorganizing J&K, Col J.P Singh, Chairman Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan ESM Cell affirm that 5th August 2019 will be written in golden letters in the annals of history as day of recognition of the sacrifices of the soldiers who gave their precious lives for integration of J&K with India. He also said now the Governor led administration is should initiate the process of creation of Army Welfare Housing Organisation Colony for the serving soldiers in the Valley and a Sainik Colony for the retired soldiers.
