Natrang stages Urdu play ‘Jhootha Khwaab’

JAMMU, July 28: Theatre group ‘Natrang’ here today staged Urdu comedy play ‘Jhootha Khwaab’ written by Shoukat Thanvi and directed by Neeraj Kant.
The play starts with ‘Jhumman Miya’ screaming and trembling with fear after a bad dream wherein his father and grandfather visited him and predicted that he is to die that very day at 4:00 am to join his forefathers in heaven.
Jhumman checks the time and realises that he has only two hours left and he calls everyone present at home and narrates the unfortunate incident.
He hurriedly calls his wife updates her about all his financial transactions and how much money he still has to recover from people.
During all this discussion, the clock strikes four and Jhumman thinks he is dead and goes off to sleep.
His wife starts wailing so loudly that even their neighbours arrive to mourn the death. Awhile later he wakes up realising that he isn’t dead and that it was indeed a false dream.
Artists who performed included Sushant Singh Charak, Manoj Kumar Lalotra, Ajay Lalotra, Aarti Devi, Sumit Raina, Rishav Sharma and Kuldeep Angral.
The lights were designed and executed by Neeraj Kant whereas music was scored by Kananpreet Kaur. The show was coordinated by Mohd Yaseen.
