JAMMU, July 28: A free medical camp was today organized by noted Gastroenterologist of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, Dr Shoket Chowdhary,
More than 100 patients were screened at the camp in which two of them turned out to be Hepatitis B positive.
Dr Chowdhary educated the patients on the need for getting screening for Hepatitis B and C and counseled them for vaccinations.
Dr Chowdhary said everyone should get screened for Hepatitis B and C and vaccinated appropriately to that this dreaded virus is eradicated from the society.
He briefed the patients about preventions for the virus and steps required to treat them, if diagnosed positive for them.
